Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work, or to work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site's operators. Cookies can be “session cookies” (deleted when you close your browser) or “persistent cookies” (which remain on your device for a set period).
Under the UK PECR (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations), EU ePrivacy Directive, and similar laws, strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent. Any non-essential cookies do require consent, which is why we have chosen not to use them.
Rewardy sets only one first-party cookie. It is strictly necessary for the Service to function and does not require consent.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| sb-[project]-auth-token | Supabase | Stores your encrypted authentication session so you remain logged in between page loads. Without this cookie the Service cannot identify you and you would be signed out on every page navigation. | Strictly necessary | Session / up to 1 week |
The cookie name contains a Supabase project reference (a short alphanumeric string) in place of [project]. The cookie value is an encrypted JWT token. We cannot use it to identify you outside of the Rewardy Service.
In addition to the cookie above, Rewardy stores a small amount of data directly in your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
| Key | Storage type | Purpose | Cleared when |
|---|---|---|---|
| app-store | localStorage | Saves UI preferences such as animation settings and your selected child profile so the app restores your state on next visit. | Manually cleared or account deleted |
| admin-session | sessionStorage | Temporarily records that the parent PIN has been entered this browser session to avoid re-prompting on every admin page. | Browser tab or window closed |
Rewardy does not use any of the following:
The Supabase authentication cookie listed in Section 2 is set by our own domain and is not shared with Supabase for any advertising or profiling purpose. Supabase processes data as our data processor under a Data Processing Agreement — see our Privacy Policy for details.
The simplest way to remove the authentication cookie is to log outof Rewardy. This clears the session cookie from your browser. You can also delete it manually in your browser's developer tools or cookie manager.
Note: deleting the session cookie while logged in will sign you out immediately. The Service cannot function without it, as it is strictly necessary for authentication.
You can clear localStorage and sessionStorage at any time via your browser settings. This will reset your UI preferences but will not delete your account data, which is stored on our servers.
All modern browsers allow you to manage, block, or delete cookies. Note that blocking the authentication cookie will prevent you from logging in. You can find instructions for the most common browsers below:
If we introduce any new cookies or tracking technologies in the future we will update this policy and, where required by law, obtain your consent before setting them. The “Effective” date at the top of this page will reflect when changes were last made.
